Deadline Extended to November 30, 2011 for Innovation Programs
The Department of Innovation, Business and Rural Development business development programs help address the funding challenges that companies face as they develop new technologies, processes, products and services. The department's business development funding supports the transformation of innovative ideas into new commercial products. The deadline to apply for funding has now been extended to November 30, 2011. More Info


New Agricultural Innovation Program (AIP) Launched

The new Agricultural Innovation Program (AIP) is an up to $50 million program ending March 31, 2013 that supports research, development, commercialization and adoption of new products, technologies, processes and services. More Info   

 

The program is now open to receive applications to provide funding through two streams:

  •  Knowledge Creation and Transfer for projects that accelerate the research and development, application and transfer of knowledge and technologies in the sector; and
  • Commercialization for projects that support the competitiveness, sustainability and adaptability of the sector by increasing the rate of successful commercialization and adoption of agri-based innovations in Canada.
