HAZWOPER Training (Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response)
Who Should Take This Course?
Workers who handle or come in contact with hazardous wastes or who are working on a contaminated site where there can be any number of physical, chemical and biological hazards. This training is a mandatory requirement for many work sites in Canada and the USA.
- Selection and use of personal protective equipment
- Hazard analysis for each site task and operation
- Frequency and types of air monitoring, personal monitoring and environmental sampling
- Site control measures
- Decontamination procedures
- Confined space entry procedures
- Emergency response plans and spill containment measures

The Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism is leading a Skilled Worker Recruitment Initiative to Ireland from November 7 - 12, 2011. A job fair will be hosted by the Office in Dublin and Cork and it is expected to have several hundred Irish workers in attendance who are looking for employment opportunities in Eastern Canada.
There is space available for 10 employers who have difficult-to-fill positions. Two of these spaces have already been filled leaving 8 employer openings. We would be thrilled if you or someone from your company would be interested in attending.
