RESEARCH MATCHING SESSION

One element of business innovation lies in research and experimentation. For many researchers, the commercialization of their work yields many benefits. However, the bridging of the gap that exists between business interests and academic interests is not a natural phenomenon.

Newleef 2014 features the Research Matching Session - a series of rapid-fire presentations from researchers working in educational institutions or even private firms, which are given to the entire Newleef audience.

This is an opportunity for researchers to spread awareness of their work and build potential new relationships, and for businesses to identify possible applications of the work in their private interests. Networking space is provided after the presentations to help build new connections.
  • Presentations on both academic and private firm research are welcome;
  • Each presentation, which will be supported by a short PPT, is limited to 2 minutes;
  • A maximum of 25 presentations will be featured at Newleef;
  • Subject matter of the presentation must be environmental-sector related.
Researchers / firms who are interested in presenting their work are encouraged to contact Abbie Lacey at abbie@neia.org.

NEIA will select the top 25 expressions of interest for presentation at Newleef 2014.
