Code of Ethics

Members of the Newfoundland Environmental Industry Association (NEIA) recognize that the Association's Code of Ethics is founded upon integrity, competence, devotion to service and protection of the environment.  This code shall guide our members at all times.

Members of the Association will strive to:

  • Undertake their operations, services and research with proper regard for the safety, health and welfare of workers and the public, and for the protection of the environment;
  • Undertake their operations, services and research in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and policies of local, provincial and federal jurisdictions;
  • Endeavour to further public understanding of the environmental industry and its place in society;
  • Undertake only such work as they are competent to perform by virtue of their experience and training;
  • Endeavour at all times to improve the competence, dignity and prestige of the Association; and
  • Conduct themselves with fairness and good faith.

    * Adoption of the Code of Ethics is mandatory for all members of the Association.
