Hatch Mott MacDonald HMM was formed by two of the world's leading engineering firms, Hatch and Mott MacDonald, specifically to provide top quality engineering services to the North American infrastructure industry. Since formation in the early 1990's, HMM hs grown to 1700 staff. At the same time its parent companies Hatch and Mott MacDonald continue to grow and now total 23000 staff worldwide. In 2007 Hatch moved its Atlantic operations into HMM, a more natrual home for what was essentially an infrastructure oriented business. These Atlantic operations had been formed by combining the resources of the SGE Group and Acres in 2002. Thus we now have 150 staff in Atlantic Canada, of which 75 are in Newfoundland and Labrador backed by the 1700 HMM personnel in North America and the parents' 23000 globally. Offices in Newfoundland and Atlantic Canada provide engineering and environmental services to infrastructure clients in the municipal, transportation, fuel handling, ports & harbors, and planning sectors. Our infrastructure practice includes water, wastewater, marine, aviation, highways, environmental, and rail projects.
