The Newfoundland & Labrador Employers' Council (NLEC) is a not-for-profit organization representing the business and economic interests of employers and employer associations in all regions of the province. Established in 1982, Council enables employers to present a collective point of view on employer and employee matters that affect them.

Its membership includes large and small employers from both the public and private sectors. The NLEC is mandated to serve member employers of the province through the provision of advocacy, advisory, and education services in matters that affect the employment relationship and the workplace.

The NLEC promotes better understanding and application of a wide range of issues impacting the workplace, including areas such as employment standards, labour relations, employment law, human resource management, occupational health and safety, workers' compensation, and employment insurance.
