Nature's Legacy Incorporated in 1999, the Newfoundland and Labrador Legacy Nature Trust has been a valuable partner of more than 20 nature conservation and environmental stewardship initiatives in the Province. As a registered charity, the Legacy Nature Trust works in both terrestrial and marine ecosystems, with an emphasis on engaging communities and collaborating with environmental organizations, volunteers, researchers, aboriginal groups, governments, businesses and resource industries. Program priorities have included Species at Risk, Protected Areas, Community-based Stewardship, Environmental Education and Public Awareness Research.
