The EVEDC is one of 20 regional economic development boards (REDB's) in Newfoundland & Labrador. The EVEDC is responsible for strategic economic planning and implementation for zone 12 in central Newfoundland, covering Norris Arm to Buchans, including Badger, Grand Falls-Windsor, and communities along routes 350 (to Leading Tickles) and 352 (to Fortune Harbour). The Corporation is governed by an elected volunteer Board of Directors and receives funding from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) and the provincial Department of Innovation, Trade & Rural Development. Our annual Work Plan includes items related to agriculture, tourism, mining, forestry, education and IT.
