Export Opportunity Sessions &        Training Workshops

Mr. John Temperilli - Energy & Environment 2006 Typically held over breakfast or lunch, export opportunity sessions involve guest speakers from industry and government discussing trade topics and market opportunities of interest to the environmental business community. These sessions are designed to enhance participant knowledge about specific international business opportunities, as well as pertinent trade issues, including financing, documentation, transportation, cultural issues and exporter liability. By attending export opportunity sessions, members can network with and learn from those who have “been there and done that”, as well as those who can speak to exporting from an economic development perspective.

In addition to opportunity sessions, NEIA strives to deliver high-quality training workshops on international trade issues and specific markets of interest to NEIA members. Typically a half-day or full-day in length, such workshops incorporate presentations, discussions and interactive exercises that build on participants’ own market experiences. NEIA’s objective in offering export training is to provide members with the knowledge and tools needed to identify, obtain and deliver on export contracts. Previous workshop topics have included how to do business in the Caribbean and U.S. Gulf Coast and how to pursue contracts with International Financial Institutions (IFIs) like the World Bank.
