NEIA provides funding for qualified members to engage an independent export consultant to help the company achieve its export objectives. Working closely with the NEIA member, the consultant will assist in the preparation of an export plan for target markets. This mentorship program is part of NEIA’s larger strategy to increase export activity among its members. NEIA will contribute 80% of the project cost to a maximum of $4,000 CAN.
To be eligible for funding, the applicant must demonstrate strong commitment to international growth and must have significant export potential – two critical components of any export strategy. Moreover, to ensure the deliverables for this project meet the needs of all funding partners, the final export plan must be submitted to and approved by NEIA prior to final acceptance of costs. Please note that all reports will be retained in strict confidence.
To date, four NEIA members have availed of mentor funding to increase their likelihood of success when entering export markets.
